About Us

Penney Farms Equestrian Club was started in October 2008 by owner and trainer Kristal Tooma. Originally from Michigan, she began her showing debut on the pony circuit. Later in her junior, she successfully showed her beloved hunter Must Be Magic and her jumper Heres to Us. In 2001, she was offered the assistant trainer position at Fox Hollow Farm, A large lesson and sale barn. During that time, she became very interested in prepping young green hunters for the show ring. In 2007, she took a position as head trainer and rider at a Jacksonville facility.

Opportunity then came to operate the beautiful facility of Penney Farms. Since then, Penney Farms has become a full service facility with boarding, lessons, training, and sales. Kristal Tooma has also expanded PFEC to include another facility, Smoak Meadow Farm, located directly across the street.
